Reasons Why I Both Love and Hate New York

Courtesy of Time Out New York.

I'm headed to the Big Apple on Friday. Any suggestions on cool stuff to do?

I do one thing and one thing only when I go to New York City: I ride the Statan Island Ferry.

I don't like the crowds, am surprised because I do feel safe on the subways, and don't want to spend $8.00 for a hamburger. Basically I go there for somequick photography and get out as quick as I can.

A few years back when I went out for a wedding my brother-in-law told me i had to go see the Earth Room. He said it was the most amazing art exhibit ever and that it had 'changed his perception of reality.' So I went. It was a room filled with dirt. That was a good joke!

Find a location shoot for Law and Order, and try to get a appearance, no matter how small, in next week's episode.

One great thing to do in New York is ... come back to Richmond. Seriously I hate NYC.

Also, we have a store that sells those things in Richmond. It's called For the Love of Pete And it is on Libbie near Grove.

Go see I Am A Sex Addict at IFC in the Village. It's worth $10.75.

Staten Island Ferry, Central Park and The Brooklyn Bridge are all free and worth the energy.

Outdoor disco rollerskating in central park between the E&W 72nd street entrances on Saturday and Sunday afternoon - free and you always see the most interesting people there.
